What a wonderful Mother's Day!

Sunday was Mother's Day and it was absolutely wonderful. To start off with, the weather was beautiful! Could not have asked for a prettier day. David actually allowed me to sleep in although he wanted ME to make sausage biscuits....ME...on Mother's Day! I did not. Actually I did not get up until 10am. Yes, I did sleep in. We were to be a mama's at 12:00 so that didn't leave much time for breakfast anyway ;-) My shredded wheat with splenda and banana was delicious. I got the most perfect card from the kids (and from David) but the one he picked out for the kids was right up my alley. It was a Scrapbook Mother's Day card!! I am SO proud of it!!
I also got a bottle of Chanel Chance that I had been wanting.

I love my handsome boy Zach and sweet girl Morgan so much!! It is so hard to believe they are growing so fast.We basically had a family reunion at mama's this year. I was so happy to see everyone. Unfortunately my uncle John was diagnosed this past year with pancreatic cancer. He is having to take blood transfusions and platelets at least once a week. He has had well over 200 transfusions so far. I am planning to go this week to give blood for him. Whatever I can do is what I will do. Family is family!!
The food was plentiful and delicious! I definitely ate more than I should, but I couldn't resist mama's turkey and dressing with giblet gravy! It is the bomb!!

Hartwell Dam Run-May 2, 2009

YEAH!! We did it!! Jean and I did our first 5k at the Hartwell Dam Run this past Saturday morning. We obviously are not pro runners, but we did make it through without getting sick or passing out ;-) We ran most of the time, but did slow down a few times when I thought I was going to die!!

Our time was 37.12!! Which I think is pretty good for an overweight, 33 year old white girl ;-) I would definitely prepare more for it the next time. Although I do work out regularly, I don't run as often as I would like to. You know...you don't see fat runners running down the road!! Not more than once or twice ;-) So, I am going to work harder on the treadmill and build myself up to running these hills here in Chickasaw. That would really be a workout. I am a little sore in my calf's today, but nothing that is unbearable.

I am SO proud of my accomplishment:

David went to Doughnuts for Dad this past Friday. This is what they do at the elementary school to celebrate Father's Day since they will not be in school in June. Morgan was sooo excited to have David go with her. He said she would not let go of his hand. He told her his hand was sweating and she simply switched to the other hand to solve the problem ;-) Isn't that too cute?? She is so crazy about her daddy right now. Well, she has been for a while now. I told him to cherish it and take it in because it may not be like that for much longer. And he does....he eats it up!! This Friday is my day...Muffins for Mom...and I can't wait!!

Well, only 1 week and 1 day until The Biggest Loser finale!! I am very excited...although my favorite players have already been voted to go home. I still can't wait to see everyone and how great they are going to look. It is really hard to believe that they make such a transformation.
